🇬🇧Beloved Chub! 💚 ➡️➡️ Overlooked 🇬🇧Beloved Chub! 💚 ➡️➡️ Overlooked by a lot of anglers and even unwanted by some of them. Species that saves me a lot of time from blanking. During my school boy era, I spent a lot of time on a small stream behind our garden fishing with a stick float and lobworms. It was probably my first species I’ve ever caught using a rod. Still enjoy catching them on all methods. Fly fishing and spin fishing are my go-to but I enjoy ledgering too. These have been caught during my last nights and days on the river bank this Autumn. November’s morning with thick mist covering everything around me gives me a calm,cold but cozy feeling. 🇬🇧 Break the habits, change the river stretc 🇬🇧 Break the habits, change the river stretch, set the trap and be silent. This sequence of steps has brought me this carp. When I changed the swim I was really skeptical about my decision. For hours without any activity - no splash, no bubbles, my mind was full of doubts, but a little flash of hope subconsciously led me into this situation. Presumption that shallow river parts can be in the radar of night patrols was all I had. I’ve tried to lure them out of the shelter and deeper water where they were probably hiding during the day. I’ve stayed as quiet as possible and without any artificial light facing towards the water surface. Brief pre-baiting with pellets and particle should keep them attracted. One 15 mm boilie should seal the deal. After three to four hours I’ve detected some activity around my traps. A couple of minutes before midnight and I was finally in. After a savage fight, river common Carp with a weight of 8.5 kilos is posing for photos. What a burst of adrenalin. Love that, in one moment you are enjoying peaceful nature and from all of the sudden your blood is full of adrenalin while you are fighting with something unseen and unpredictable on the other end of the line. Fishiiing! 🇸🇰Zmena miesta ryba istá? Pár krát sa mi to vyplatilo. Keď som sa rozhodol po niekoľkých nociach zmeniť miesto, bol som veľmi skeptický a plný pochybností. Úsek rieky bol bez akejkoľvek aktivity niekoľko hodín - žiadna aktivita na hladine, žiadne bubliny a hrobové ticho. Jedine v čo som dúfal bola moja taktika. Taktikou bola moja predstava, že tieto plytšie časti rieky môžu byť navštevované práve neskoro v noci. Po niekoľkých hodinách som zaregistroval prvú aktivitu pri mojich nastražených pasciach. O niekoľko hodín neskôr som plný adrenalínu stál na brehu a zdolával tohto kapra. Milujem tieto výbuchy adrenalínu. V jeden moment si v kľude vychutnávame prírodu a ticho a o pár sekúnd neskôr zdolávame niečo nepredvídateľne a divoké na druhom konci vlasca. Tento krásny riečny šupináč o váhe 8,5 kilograma uzavrel moje jesenné vychádzky na rieku za kaprami. Strávil som tu ešte pár nocí o ktoré sa podelím už čoskoro. :)

That morning I decided to try lure fishing on our well known carp spot. Water low and clear as a small gin before the tonic’s added. Task to catching this torpedo wasn’t easy though. Huge shoals of fish constantly under attack by those silver predators gave me a chance to persuade them to choose my lure over the real fish. Little bit of experimenting and more than 6 hours of constant casting have brought me two Asps. Day on the water ended with drying out my waders and enjoying a cup of coffee before calling it a day. 🇸🇰 Bolen na prívlač! Metóda ktorá mi vždy doda riadnu dávku adrenalínu. Toto ráno som sa rozhodol skúsiť loviť na prívlač v našom dobre známom kaprovom mieste. Obrovské húfy malých rýb ponúkali bolenom doslova žatvu, aj vďaka tomu s moj lov komplikoval a o to viac som musel experimentovať aby som ich zaujal a vybrali si moju nastrahu a nie živú rybku. 🇸🇰Po presne dvoch rokoch sme spoločne s @mi 🇸🇰Po presne dvoch rokoch sme spoločne s @miroslav_fenar zopakovali výpravu na veľkú vodnú nádrž. Cieľom bolo chytiť kapra na dohod. Voľba bola jasná a rozhodli sme sa pre miesto, ktoré nám prinieslo pekné úlovky aj predtým. Opradení nadšením a očakávaniami sme nezostali „nasucho“ ani tieto dni. Teda ja som hlavne plnil úlohu fotografa a baristu, no pre @miroslav_fenar to bolo „business as usual,“ pričom sa mu podaril pekný kapor cez 13 kíl a jeden o niečo menší. Nakoniec sa usmialo aj „malé“ šťastie na mňa. Už mi tieto jesenné výpravy chýbajú a teším sa znova, snáď o rok? Alebo to ešte stihneme tento? ;) 🇬🇧 Two years after we went to our joint expedition to large reservoir with a goal to catch a carp (hopefully big one). We went again this autumn. This reservoir hides a lot of carps over 20 kilos and that time while I am writing this we know about 30+. Its unbelievable! When I go fishing a often don’t have any expectations or if I have, they are very low, but this water is mysterious and with knowledge what is already living there and with my imagination its hard to not have any. I always have a hunch that we can catch something truly special. To make long story short my role during this time was taking photos and brewing coffee, but for @miroslav_fenar it was like business as usual. He managed to catch one over 13 kilos and another one little bit smaller, but! I had a luck too :D. Already missing days like these, but looking forward to next adventure (maybe this year as well?)
